Tools we use
Every tool, and why.
Some people keep this a secret so you cannot leave. I would rather show you the whole thing. Here is every tool behind an adult family home website I build, what it does, and why it is there.
You do not have to manage any of it. But it is your home and your name, so you should know what is running.
Your home runs on the names you already know
All product names, logos, and brands shown here are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the tools I set up for you. Full Census is an independent agency. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these companies.
The rule behind all of it
Every account is opened in your name.
This is the part that matters more than any tool on this page. Your domain, your Google, your analytics, your pages. I set them up and I hold the keys only for as long as you want me to. If you and I stop working together tomorrow, you keep everything and nothing turns off.
- Your domain is registered to you, not to me
- Your Google profile stays yours if I disappear
- No page builder that holds your site hostage
- Leads go to your inbox, never sold to anyone
The whole stack.
Most of these are free. The ones that cost anything are marked, and I will always tell you before anything costs you money. The little pictures show roughly what each one does.
Where your website lives
GitHub Pages Free
Hosting. Your site sits on a global network of servers instead of one slow machine.
Why: it is free forever, it does not go down, and it is why your home loads in a fraction of a second.
Let's Encrypt Free
The security certificate that gives you the padlock and the "https" in your address.
Why: without it Chrome warns families your site is "not secure." It renews itself, forever, free.
Namecheap or GoDaddy
Where your domain name is registered, in your name and under your email.
Why: this is the only thing you pay for after the build, and it is roughly the price of a coffee a month.
How a family reaches you
Web3Forms Free
Runs the contact form. When a family fills it in, the message lands in your inbox.
Why: no login to check, no portal, no dashboard. It just becomes an email like any other.
Tap to call Free
Your phone number is a button on every screen, so a daughter on her phone taps once and you ring.
Why: most families call rather than write. Making them hunt for the number loses the call.
Calendly Free
Lets a family book a tour on your calendar without the back and forth.
Why: optional, but it stops the "what time works for you" chain that kills momentum.
Getting found on Google
Google Business Profile Free
Your listing on Google Maps. Claimed, verified, photos, hours, and the right address.
Why: this is the map that appears when someone searches "adult family home near me." It often matters more than the website.
Google Search Console Free
Tells Google your site exists, submits your pages, and shows what families searched to find you.
Why: without it you wait and hope. With it, Google knows about you in days.
Dear Care Home Free
Our Washington adult family home directory. Your listing is free and stays free.
Why: families use it at no cost, and when one matches your home I hand them straight to you. I never sell your information.
Knowing what is actually working
Google Analytics 4 Free
Counts how many families visited, where they came from, and who called.
Why: so we can prove the website is doing something instead of guessing.
Microsoft Clarity Free
Shows recordings and heat maps of how real people move through your pages.
Why: if families keep stopping at the same spot, I can see it and fix it.
Google Tag Manager Free
The control panel that runs the tracking above without slowing your site down.
Why: it lets me add or change tracking later without rebuilding anything.
Speed and trust checks
PageSpeed Insights Free
Google's own speed test. I do not hand a site over until it scores well on a phone.
Why: a slow site loses the family before your home ever gets a chance.
WebP images Free
A modern photo format. Same photo, a fraction of the file size, sized right for phones.
Why: photos are what make a home feel real. This lets you have them without the site crawling.
SSL Labs and GTmetrix Free
Independent checks on your security and speed that I run at launch and send to you.
Why: you should not have to take my word for it. These are third parties grading the work.
Social, email, and print
Meta Business Suite Free
Your Facebook page and Instagram, set up properly and connected to each other.
Why: families check whether you are real and active. An empty or missing page makes them wonder.
Google Workspace
A real business email at your own domain, like hello@yourhome.com, instead of a personal Gmail.
Why: optional. A free forwarder works too. But your own domain in your email looks like a business.
GotPrint or UPrinting
Where your business cards, brochures, and rack cards get printed.
Why: discharge planners and case managers still work off paper on a desk. That is a real referral channel.
